System Shock was the first game I ever worked on, back in 1993 at Looking Glass Technologies. I fell into the game industry straight out of art school with core illustration skills and a passion for science fiction. It blew my mind that I was making a video game, not to mention one that was considered "a thinking man's Doom."
I did my best and had a blast, however, like anyone, I've looked back and wished I could have done this or that differently. Imagine my surprise to receive an email from Nightdive Studios with a notion of remaking the game with today's technology. For the past handful of years, I've had the privilege of revisiting the game that started my career. Re-imagining a space station full of my fledgling characters, concepts and low resolution textures has been amazing. Here is a selection of my work on the System Shock remake.
